Two Pitbulls In A Pod

So today we took a trip to visit Motley's bestfriend Mocachino. It had been a couple days since they had seen each other but from the second we walked in they were inseperable. e let them play utside for awhile and it seems they never get tired of picking on each other.
Moca normally wins when there playing around but this time Motley pinned Moca. After a bunch of playing around we went in and had dinner while the pups decided it was time to rest. There always willing to take a couple naps throughout a long day.

After a quick pup nap and a lil bit of food they were ready to play again. Here's a quick video of them wrestling on the bed with each other. Moc watch out, Motley's throwing punches!

Thanks for checking out Motley's trip to see Moca. I hoped you enjoyed the pics and they both, Motley and Moca, thank you for cecking them out!

The First Year (cont.)

This post is just going to be an extra installment of the previous post because I've found a few more pictures from Motley's first year. One of the best parts about getting a puppy is being able to mess around and have a lot of fun with it, Right? I can't tell you how many times I think I've embarrassed him, but he always takes it like a champion.
In the previous post I spoke about Motley getting to experience snow for the first time, and I only make a big deal about that because we never get any real snow here in Virginia Beach. Here is a picture of him cruising the streets with me checking out all the snow. He couldn't stop slipping and sliding on the ice. It was quite a sight to see when he'd try to jog.
Motley has become very intrigued when it comes to doing anything outdoors. He loves it. Any chance he can be out roaming his surroundings he is a happy dog. He got to take a camping trip with his friend Mocachino to the Appalachian Mountains over the summer and got aquainted to everything. Soon I will try and post pictures of that adventure.
Hope all of you have really enjoyed the pitcures of Motley growing in his first year. Now that I've brought yall up to date I plan on posting more frequently about what is going on daily in our lives. Tahnks again and please comment on the pictures or contact me!

The First Year

The first year of Motley's life brought a lot of  great and unexpected situations into my family's household. To be honest, he did great and caught on quick with all of his training. Check This Out for more advice and tips on training your dog! Its a great resource. He learned sit, shake, lay down, and roll over all in the matter of days. Motleys intelligence really amazed me at the beginning. I also, in the beginning stages, was introducing Motley to anyone, anything, and everyone to better socialize him. The luckiest part was Motley got introduced to his best friend, Mocachino, and whenever they get together their inseperable.

They could spend days and days together and never get tired of each others company.

It's so funny after awhile, especially if you've had your dog from a puppy, to notice the cycles they go through during the day. They'll sleep forever, eat, get crazy for thirty minutes or so, and then pass back out again. Motley sleeps so much, but the quality of having a lap dog is something i really wanted in my pet.

As a puppy, Motley was intrested in anything and everything. This brought a little trouble to me because when he started teething he got into everything possible.

No matter what, when i got home he would have a hat or a shoe in his little toy box because he missed me. Check This Out for advice and tips on training your pet.
Then he gives you this look like, " How could you ever think I would do something bad like that?", and when that happens you could never stay mad.

Motley's list of experiences in his first year of life are endless. He got to witness our first decent amount of snow in Virginia Beach in awhile and couldn't get enough of it. He's taken hiking and camping trips along the Appalachian Trail, fun days at the beach, and trips all over town to see family and friends. He loves sitting shotgun in the car with his head out the window letting his ears and lips flop in the wind. I can honestly say, in the past year, Motley really has become the perfect dog for me!

Welcome

Welcome to Motley's Journey! I want to thank you sincerely for taking the time out of your day to enjoy the photos and the life of my pitbull Motley. I also would like this site to shed some light on the great charateristics these dogs contribute to our society, rather than the bad rep this breed has attained.
I got Motley at the age of six weeks and ever since, I can honestly say he has become a part of the family. He follows me everywhere whether its car rides, camping, the beach, and even just to the couch to relax. Before I had brought Motley home, everyone was apprehensive that I wanted a Pitbull. Now, if you ask all those same people what they think about Motley, they'd say he's the biggest baby you would ever meet. A lot of that has to do with training, but a lot of it has to do with the great nature of the pitbull breed. People are a pitbull's passion! Motley longs for affection from everyone, strangers included! It such a nice feeling when people come up and ask to pet him and compliment his temperament.
At an early age Motley was getting introduced to anything and everything, even to meeting his best friend Mocachino who you will see in some of the pictures. They are a couple days seperate in age and are inseperable when they are together. Motleys also been to church events, around the elderly and enjoys the intrest little kids give to him on our daily walks. He has truly been a breath of fresh air and a joy to have around.
I hope you all enjoy the blog and please feel free to contact me, comment the posts, and give me feedback. The more I know the better I can make this site. Thanks again for taking the time to check it out!
