Why A Pitbull??

When you decided that you were capable enough and responsible enough to own a dog, how did you come to the conclusion that a pitbull was the dog for you?

I can honestly say, and I hope Motley doesn't hear or get mad at me, but a Pitbull wasn't the dog I truley wanted when I first decided to get a dog companion. Originally I had my eyes set on an all white English Bulldog. That was my dream dog growing up because they looked like couch potatos and I always wanted a dog that would follow me around a flop down when I did. Great reason huh? Haha That dream lasted 2 mintues until I saw the price tag on English Bulldogs. Other dogs I considered were Boxers and Boston Terriers because I wanted a fit dog, and I just loved the smushed in faces they all had. Those were the dogs I had really looked into until my best friend came home with his puppy.

Her name was Moca-chino, Moca for short, a little brindle 6 week old female Pitbull.

Actually, my best friend and Moca took the journey with me to pick him up.
Now they are like this!! HA

Best freinds HAHA.
I can honestly say a Pitbull was the dog for me and I enjoy every minute Motleys around.

  1. I hardly know a single person who has met a pit bull who hasn't fallen in love with the breed. Even our friend who had a terrible first experience with a poorly trained and managed pit bull, and who's afraid of dogs in general, loves our girls and can snuggle with them on the couch for hours. Glad you met Mocha before you adopted!

  2. I just don't understand why people can't see the real dog inside!

  4. We got Lily at 8 weeks from the shelter. Her entire litter was litter was there. In fact, there's two blue litters that are six weeks old at the same shelter right now. They won't be allowed to go into homes for another two weeks, though, because their mom still has important lessons to teach them. It's odd that you couldn't find a puppy at a shelter. They're everywhere out here. Lily was one of ten and she's the only one who got a home. Her nine siblings were killed at the shelter before they were even 3 months old thanks to backyard breeders overbreeding. It's so sad.

  5. It is nice to see a young adult be so responsible. I had my first Pit Bull at the age of 22. After he died 12 years later I got my second Pit Bull and he is 6 now. Keep up the good work.
